Plaza - Sameji 93-117 Sameji's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Santiago, where they outplayed Plaza (1-7) 117-93. Sameji players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for Brahian Mendez who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Power forward Brayan Martinez (203-91) helped adding 16 points and 9 rebounds. Five Sameji players scored in double figures. Guard Oliver Garcia (188-96) responded with 39 points (!!!) and 4 assists and Saul Mejia scored 6 points and 14 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sameji (1-6) left bottom position moving up to fifth place. It was Plaza's fifth loss in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. Sameji's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of CPN. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Point guard Jaison Valdez (188-95, agency: BMS Sport Agency) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Puerto Rican forward Emmanuel Andujar (198-93, college: Manhattan) contributed with 24 points and 4 assists for the winners. American Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle, agency: BMS Sport Agency) answered with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Victor Liz (193-86, agency: BMS Sport Agency) added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for CPN. Five Cupes and four CPN players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cupes (6-2) keep a position of league leader. CPN at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost.
